About La Guelaguetza

The Guelaguetza is one of the most popular traditions in the state of Oaxaca, this word is derived from the Zapotec word guendalezaa which means “Offering, present or fulfillment”. This celebration takes place in the month of July. The festival is very beautiful, it is where all the regions of the state come together to show their traditions through dance, typical clothing, music and artisanal gifts.
